June Volunteer of the Month - Grace

     For our next volunteer of the month, we want to introduce you to a volunteer who worked hard throughout the month of June, Grace! Grace has been coming to Veggielution twice a week for about three weeks now. She first heard about Veggielution from the students and parents at KIPP Heartwood Academy, right down the road from us! Once she had some free time, she wanted to check it out. 

     When Grace isn't volunteering at Veggielution, she teaches 8th grade English at Fischer Middle School. Naturally, as an English teacher, she loves reading books in her free time. She also enjoys hiking, playing piano, and spending time with her dog. 

     One of the highlights of Grace's experience at Veggielution has been harvesting a variety of vegetables. She finds it interesting to learn harvesting techniques and to see how all the different vegetables grow! I asked Grace what single word she would use to describe her experience at Veggielution, and her answer was "colorful." We've had a great time getting to know Grace out on the farm, and we're so grateful for all her time and effort!
