On 1st Saturdays at Veggielution the diversity of our community comes to life. Whether through exploration of our Youth Garden or the sights and sounds of our kitchen during Veggielution Cocina, our farm instills a strong sense of connection among participants from many different backgrounds. Over 100 community members of all ages flow seamlessly between activities; planting in the fields and making new friends along the way. Throughout the day local residents shop at our Farm Stand for fresh, organic produce grown onsite and harvested by our volunteer community farmers.

Veggielution Cocina

 11:00am to 1pm

Veggielution Cocina, a community-led cooking class series on the first Saturday of each month. During this 9-session class, East San Jose-based chefs lead local residents in cooking seasonally-centered, culturally relevant recipes.

Interested in being part of the class? Register here to become part of our kitchen crew where you will learn basic food safety and preparation skills, as well as new recipes from our community chef.

Youth Garden

10:00am to 12:30pm

Come join us at the farm for our weekly Youth Garden Activities. Every Saturday the whole family can enjoy gardening, crafting, and learning together in the Youth Garden. Participating in our Youth Garden activities is a great way to spend time with your children while exploring the garden, learning about healthy lifestyle choices, and discovering the exciting processes of the natural world - not to mention making new friends. This is a unique opportunity to get your hands dirty and become better stewards of the environment as a family.  

Farm Stand

10am to 2pm

Come visit our Farm Stand at the entrance of the Veggielution farm and pick up some farm fresh veggies, harvested every week by our staff and volunteers. We are committed to providing fresh, locally grown produce to the community at an affordable cost. We gladly accept cash, debit, credit, and EBT (food stamps). 

Farm Volunteering

Anyone is welcome to farm with us, you don’t need any prior experience, our skilled farm crew and seasoned community members are great teachers.
