It's not what you see but how you see it.

Every month is brought in with creativity in Veggielution's monthly class, Art in the Garden. Amongst the many participants of Art in the Garden is Darrin, a farm intern here at Veggielution. Darrin, like everyone else in the Veggielution community, is a unique individual and it can be seen through his work created during Art in the Garden. The beauty in Darrin's work is how he takes images of and around Veggielution and digitally manipulates them to demonstrate his experience at Veggielution through color work.

Through his work, Darrin's experience at the Veggielution Farm can be described in one word: vibrant. Veggielution provides Darrin with an outlook that is both vibrant and positive. To further understand what Darrin was convening through his images, he wrote:

"Everyone can plainly see why I took to photography, this drawing is what is known as a “Work In Progress,” most Saturday’s I cannot do Art In The Garden because I am too busy on the farm, farming. However having taken my initial drawing classes during the 1990s (and since it is plainly apparent I need to take more classes,) I can tell you that if you or I went every week to Art In The Garden your first drawing(s?) would be very different from your last at the end of the summer, practice does make perfecter… Seriously we don’t need drugs, we just need Huevos Rancheros and Veggielution, its completely apparent right? In my case I need eggs, farming, and more drawing practice, not too bad all things considered, I’m only human!"
Having taken a different approach to Art in the Garden, his work still illuminates the essence of class; Art in the Garden is more than just an art class, it is the creation of a space where everyone is invited to express their experiences and ideas of Veggielution in a visual format. Regardless of the level of artistry one has, there are no limits as to how or what one can create their perception of the world.
