Veggielution’s Farm Box program follows a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model, providing you with a variety of quality, fresh-picked, sustainable produce each week! By signing up for a Farm Box, you are fully sharing in the harvest of the farm. You get to experience the adventure of growing food right along with us - including over (and under) sized harvests, unexpected challenges, and surprise successes. 

Full Sponsor Share
Cost: $690 ($30/week for 23 weeks)

The full share provides you with an average of 20 pounds of vegetables each week for 23 weeks over the Summer and Fall of 2013. A total of $115 ($5 per week) of the cost you pay will go towards subsidizing the cost of the Family Share Farm Boxes. Family Shares provide low-income families with tasty locally grown food from the farm. 

Half Sponsor Share
Cost: $437 ($19/week for 23 weeks)

The half share provides you with an average of 10 pounds of vegetables each week for 23 weeks over the Summer and Fall of 2013. A total of $58 ($2.50 per week) of the cost you pay will go towards subsidizing the cost of the Family Share Farm Boxes.  Family Shares provide low-income families with tasty locally grown food from the farm.

Subsidize a Family Share (without receiving a farm box)
Donation: $230 ($10/week for 23 weeks)

We offer our Family Share at a low cost to community members who receive food stamps and live in the low income neighborhoods surrounding the farm. Family share participants receive $10 off the market cost of their weekly box. By paying the equivalent of $10 a week for 23 weeks for a total of $230, you help the farm absorb the cost of offering produce at an affordable cost. Click here to donate. 

How does it work?
Each week you will come to the farm and pick up your box of farm-fresh vegetables. You will get a variety of the vegetables we are currently harvesting, with a different mix each week to keep it interesting.

What are the benefits of participating in a Sponsor Share?
By purchasing a sponsor share of our Farm Box, you make it possible for our low income community members to access our high quality produce at an affordable price. Purchasing a Sponsor Share will not only provide you with the joy of fresh veggies every week, but also the satisfaction of knowing your payment is helping fund our program and subsidize the cost of our family shares!

Do I get the same amount and variety of food every week?
The weight and variety of produce in your Farm Box will vary depending on the season and what we have available.  For example, in June you might expect beets, carrots, kale, radishes, lettuce, basil, and cilantro and from July through early October you can also count on tomatoes, summer squash, cucumbers, peppers, and green beans.  

When can I pick up my Farm Box?
You will be able to pick up your vegetables each week at Veggielution either

  • Tuesdays between 1:00PM and 6:30 PM
  • Wednesdays between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM  

You will sign up for your pick-up day when you submit your payment, and will be expected to come on that day for the rest of the season.

How do I sign up and pay?
If you are ready to join, please fill out our sign-up form. Once you sign up, we will contact you with payment instructions.  We have a limited number of slots, if they are full you will be placed on the waiting list. Payment is accepted by credit card or check. You can choose to pay for the entire season upfront, or split it into 2 payments. Either way we need a payment by May 15. Your payment locks in your spot and you will lose your place if we don’t receive a payment by May 15.  If you choose to pay in two installations, the second payment is due August 15.  You will not be able to pick up your box on subsequent weeks until that payment is submitted.  

What if I go on vacation or can't pick up my box?
If you know you will be out of town, you are welcome to arrange for a friend or family member to pick up your box for you. This is a great way to help spread the word about Veggielution and our Farm Box program!  If someone else is going to come pick up your box, they just need to give us your name.  If you cannot come on your designated pick-up day or would like to get your box on our other pick-up day, you must call or email by 5 PM the Friday before the pick-up.  If you do not call ahead and do not come on your designated day, we will donate your box.  We cannot offer refunds on unwanted or un-picked up boxes.
