Veggielution’s Farm Box program gives you a variety of quality, fresh-picked, sustainable produce each week! By signing up for a Farm Box, you are fully sharing in the harvest of the farm. You get to experience the adventure of growing food right along with us - including over (and under) sized harvests, unexpected challenges, and surprise successes. 

Farm Box Family Share
Cost: $15 per week
Each week you will come to the farm and pick up your box of farm-fresh vegetables. You will get a variety of the vegetables we are currently harvesting, with a different mix each week to keep it interesting. 

Do I qualify for a Family Share?
If you live in the 95116 or 95122 zip codes or are enrolled in CalFresh (Food Stamps/EBT), you qualify for a family share!  We offer family shares at a subsidized price so that everyone in our community has the opportunity to eat fresh, healthy, locally grown vegetables. To participate in the program, you must attend one of our orientation meetings and sign our share agreement, committing to all 23 weeks of the season.  Meetings will be held on May 7th and 8th at Veggielution.

How much food will I get?
Every week you can expect a box of 15 to 25 pounds of veggies, depending on the season and what we have available.  For example, in June you might expect beets, carrots, kale, radishes, lettuce, basil, and cilantro and from July through early October you can also count on tomatoes, summer squash, cucumbers, peppers, and green beans.  

When can I pick up my Farm Box?
You will be able to pick up your box of vegetables each week at Veggielution either:

  • Tuesdays between 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM
  • Wednesdays between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM
You will sign up for your pick-up day when you sign the share agreement, and will be expected to come on that day for the rest of the season.  

How do I sign up and pay?
If you are ready to join, please fill out our sign-up form. We do have a limited number of slots, and if they are full you will be placed on the waiting list. We accept CalFresh (Food Stamps/EBT), cash, and checks.  Each week when you pick up your box, you will pay $15.  The minimum requirement is to pay one week in advance, which means that in the first week of the program, you will pay for weeks one and two ($30 in total) and in the last week of the program, you won’t pay anything.  

What if I go on vacation or can't pick up my box?
If you know you will be out of town, you are welcome to arrange for a friend or family member to pick up your box for you. This is a great way to help spread the word about Veggielution and our Farm Box program!  If someone else is going to come pick up your box, they need to give us your name and pay the $15.  If you cannot come on your designated pick-up day or would like to get your box on our other pick-up day, you must call or email by 5 PM the Friday before the pick-up.  If you do not call ahead and do not come on your designated day, we will donate your box.  We cannot offer refunds on unwanted or un-picked up boxes.

What if I come to pick up my box but can’t pay that week?
If you come to the farm on your designated pick-up day but are unable to pay the $15 for the next week, you will be able to take home your box, with the understanding that the following week you will pay $30 to get back on track with our required one week advance payments.  We will forgive missed payment only once.
